Day 3: Emeishan . night stay in Emeishan
one of China’s four most famous Buddhist moutains ( the others are Putuoshan, Wutai Shan, Jiuhua Shan)
Day 4: drive from Emeishan-Yibin Bamboo Sea. ( 3h )
Bamboo sea . night stay inside the bamboo park
there are more than 30 types of bamboo across this 120sq km national park and the scenery is gorgeous enough to have attracted many TV and film director such as 《Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon》
Day 5: Bamboo Sea. drive 1.5h to Xingwen Stone Forest( Gigantic karst cave , like 100 -meter wide , 100-meter high ) night stay in Xinwen County
Xingwen Karst Geopark is located in Xingwen County, Yibin City, Sichuan Province, where it is a transitional zone between the Sichuan Basin and the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. Home to both the Bo and Miao nationalities and specific karst formations, Xingwen’s unique characteristics make it an exotic flower among the 19 World Geoparks in China.
Xingwen Karst Geopark, covering roughly 156 square kilometers, is made up of four scenic areas; the Surface Karstand Ground Caves Scenic Area, Mount Lingxiaoshan Scenic Area, Mount Bowangshan Scenic Area and Tai’an Karst Forest Scenic Area. This geopark is a natural museum for studying karst formations, including the development and evolution of karst landforms; it’s just like an encyclopedia of karst geology.
Day 6: Xinwen Stone Forest -Zigong Salt museum / Dinosaur Museum -Drive back to Chengdu
Salt Industry History Museum , housed in a beautiful 270-year-old guild hall, is devoted to the region’s salt industry and does an excellent job of telling the story through old photographs.
Dinosaur Museum .built on a top of an excavation site, which has one of the world’s largest concentrations of dinosaur fossils . this museum has a fine collection of reassembled skeletons as well as half-buried dinosaur bones left in situ for visitors to see .
